Welcome back and Happy New Year

Our apologies for the lack of updates on this site, but we’re back now and looking forward to a great year. Please remember to keep Feb 14th free for the Speedo Sprint heats at Bexley pool (4pm). Entries close Jan 31st

State 13/over Championships – 13th to 18th January 2004

Congratulations to our team of 4 swimmers – Alex Cox, Meagan Cox, Sherrie Eadie and Lauren Smith.

Sherrie had a great meet with 4 top 10 placings in the MD events including a medal in the 50m free. Alex also had a great meet with 2 Finals appearances and also being first reserve for the semis of the Open 50m Breast.

Meagan and Lauren had some good results especially in the 50m events with both finishing in the top 20 of the Open 50m Fly and Free respectively

13th June 2003

Record attempts were the order of the day and it was great seeing swimmers put their hand up to have a go. Ben Hunter, Morgan Sara and Brittany King all came VERY close to claiming the records they sought – but not close enough! Congratulations to Matt Spence who broke the 10 yr Backstroke record and to Sherrie Eadie who broke her own 16 yr Butterfly record.

Congratulations to those swimmers who were accepted into the Development Squad. We understand that they again had many more applications than they had places for so please don’t be too discouraged if you missed out. Hopefully you will be successful next year!

State 9-12 Championships 2004

Brigitta Schyns, Barbara Efremova, Matt Spence, Sean McFarlane-Bentley and Liam Garland qualified to represent our club at this meet. (Andrew Kennedy had the most qualifying times but unfortunately is still out with that broken arm – plaster is of though). Liam once again showed what a great swimmer he is by finishing 7th in the 9 yr 100m Breaststroke. Liam has now had 4 top 10 finishes from his 4 starts at Representative meets which is an awesome feat. All swimmers swam times close to their PB’s.

Cronulla Open Meet – Saturday 20th December

Many of our swimmers had a successful afternoon at this meet with lots of medals and a few PB’s even! A big welcome to Jessica Ford and Michaela Spiteri attending their first swim meet for our club.

Once again the relays were hotly contested. Our 12/u mixed teams (Brittany, Justin, Matt and Sean, and Jessica, Lachlan, Josh and Jack) finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Our Open teams (John, Ben, Matt Hunter and Lara, and Brooke, Matt Harden, Paul and Sean who backed up from the 12/u relay) finished 1st and 2nd respectively.
